Confined Space Rescue 16 Hour

Join instructors from Fire Service Educators & The Fire Rescue Institute for
a 16 hour Confined Space Rescue Program at The Meadowood Fire School
Saturday & Sunday September 22nd & 23rd

Instructors Lt. Joe Frierre (Nashua Fire) & Rodney Towne (Nashua Fire Retired) will lead students in a
intense 16 Hour Ropes Rescue program where students will:
Day 1 - Students will review the importance
of air monitoring and ventilation of a confined space, you will be educated on how to enter confined
spaces and preform rescues while wearing full PPE and SCBA, learn how to set up Tripod devices and
build mechanical advantage systems, learn to don Class 3 harnesses for confined space rescue, set up
belay lines, practice rigging confined space rescue devices.  
Day 2 - Training will culminate with students
preforming confined space rescues from set up to critique. This is a very demanding program that will
require good team work and communications.
Fire Service Educators Instructors provide students with ropes rescue training
as part of a Firefighter 2 Program in October 2006.
Fire Service Educators also offers training for small businesses

August 25th & 26th 2007
Join Fire Service Educators Instructors for 2 days of labor intensive
training on Firefighters Safety, Survival & RIT.

Day 1- Students will learn a variety of self rescue techniques, what to do when lost and
disoriented, techniques that can be used to conserve air supplies, how to prepare for a RIT,
techniques for rescuing a downed firefighter, and how to properly utilize a thermal imager.

Day 2- Students will apply the training they learned on Day 1. Day 2 will be a full day of
scenario based RIT evolutions. Students will be put to the test to preform rescue(s) of
downed firefighter(s).

Required Equipment - Fully PPE & SCBA with a Spare Cylinder
